The tasting will be held in English.
The Falerno del Massico wine region in Campania, just north of Naples, is the first historical wine region to receive a designation of origin and guarantee based on a trademark. As early as the Roman Empire, wines from this area were considered the most prestigious. Falernian wine was enjoyed by Julius Caesar and other emperors, and even served to Cleopatra. The wine was praised by the writer and poet Pliny, who wrote about Falernian wine in the city of Pompeii.
The wines to be tasted have received numerous awards. For example, Falerno del Massico Seduzione Primitivo DOP 2021 was selected as the best Primitivo wine in Italy by the Italian Sommelier Association.
At the tasting, the wines of Falerno del Massico will be presented by Angelo Pagano, owner of the Fattoria Pagano winery.
